Hidroelectrica (stock symbol H2O), the largest company on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the most profitable state-owned company, has signed with the association formed by Prime Batteries Technology and Enevo Group for the construction of a Li-ion battery storage facility in the Crucea Nord Wind Farm.

The €79.8 million investment marks a first for the company, as it is the first Li-ion battery energy storage project implemented by Hidroelectrica. Through this initiative, the company is taking an important step towards resource efficiency, portfolio diversification, and service expansion by accessing modern technologies in the field, Hidroelectrica representatives said on Monday.
