Electrica SA signed - massive investment in renewable projects purchased from the Swedish "king" of Romanian wind farms based in Monaco

The energy distribution, supply, and production group Electrica SA, where the largest shareholder is the Romanian state through the Ministry of Energy, holding over 48% of the shares, has approved an investment of up to 253 million euros for the construction of a wind farm in the communes of Crucea and Pantelimon, in Constanța County. In the summer, Profit.ro announced that Electrica SA completed the acquisition of a new company, whose main activity is the production of energy from photovoltaic sources, from Emanuel Muntmark and Cătălin Mrejeru.

The acquired company, New Trend Energy, is developing the "Satu Mare 3" photovoltaic project with an authorized installed capacity of 57 MW, near the commune of Doba, Satu Mare County. The project is in the "ready-to-build" phase. Another transaction in this package was signed in the spring of 2023.
